Between the cities of Montes Claros and Pedra Azul, three lonely drifters follow different paths, each establishing intimate relationships in a transitory world. This second installment in Cao Guimarães’s trilogy about solitude continues his daring visual exploration of existential themes. The film captures the relationship between thought and movement, geography and introspection, through breathtaking shots of human forms against the surrounding landscape.

This film is presented as part of the Museum's Contemporary Brazilian Film Festival, in conjunction with Rivane Neuenschwander: A Day Like Any Other. This festival explores the relationship between visual art and contemporary Brazilian film. The three experimental films on view bypass the parameters of traditional cinema, portraying a playful and poetic perspective on the world. The festival was organized with assistance from by João Dumans, film researcher. All films are in Portuguese with English subtitles.
