Member Event: Encountering the City: The Urban Experience in Contemporary Art

Join us for a special evening of music, cocktails, appetizers, and curator-led tours of Encountering the City: The Urban Experience in Contemporary Art. Meredith Malone, associate curator at the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum, and Kelly Shindler, associate curator at the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, will discuss themes central to the exhibition, including the relationship between art and architecture, conceptions of space and place, and how the aesthetics of a city are informed by its cultural, commercial, and political configurations.
