The Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum offers educational programs for a wide variety of audiences.

University students

There are many opportunities for Washington University students—undergraduate and graduate—to get involved with the Museum, from free student memberships to the Teaching in the Galleries docent program and the Kemper Student Council.

University faculty

Faculty from all Washington University departments are encouraged to bring their students to the Museum for inquiry-based tours of the special exhibitions and permanent collection, including specialized programs for Writing 1 and Medical School classes. Plus, learn more about the Museum's Study Room and Teaching Gallery.

K–12 educators

Teachers who want to bring their students to the Kemper Art Museum can select from the list of pre-designed thematic tours or work with a museum educator to create a custom program. The Museum also offers a variety of on-demand professional development workshops for teachers.

Adults and families

All ages are welcome in the Museum! Find resources to make your visit fun and informative whether you're with adults or children.

KARE program

The Kemper Art Reaches Everyone (KARE) program is designed for adults with early to moderate Alzheimer’s and their care partners.
