Join Meredith Malone, associate curator, in conversation with Gretchen L. Wagner, Andrew W. Mellon Fellow for Prints, Drawings, and Photographs at the Saint Louis Art Museum, as they discuss works in the exhibition Postwar Prints and Multiples: Investigating the Collection. Their gallery talk will focus on the wave of interest in print editions beginning in the late 1950s in both Europe and the United States, exploring how artists integrated the medium’s defining characteristics—reproducibility, collaboration, and ready circulation—into some of the most inventive art practices of the time. Wagner is currently working on an upcoming exhibition and publication of American prints and artists’ editions since 1960 to open at the Saint Louis Art Museum in fall 2018.
