In conjunction with the Kemper Art Museum's fall 2019 special exhibition Ai Weiwei: Bare Life, Sabine Eckmann, William T. Kemper Director and Chief Curator, hosted a conversation with the renowned Chinese dissident artist and activist Ai Weiwei on September 26, 2019. The Q&A, the 2019 Bunny and Charles Burson Visiting Artist Lecture, featured a discussion of the artist’s wide-ranging practice, including his concern for human rights and the global condition of humanity and his profound engagement with Chinese culture past and present.
